Texture Photography

For my latest photography assignment we had to shoot a textured item using strobe lighting. I used a granola bar because it has amazing texture. I also tried to take some shots using the Dutch chocolate that I recently got from Holland (yum)

Im pretty crazy about photography. This weekend, I will be going out in the snow and try to take some nice shots.

Figure Ground

Figure Ground was the first assignment of this semester.
We were supposed to create 6 icons inspired on figure grounds and the work of artist Noma Bar. It’s pretty cool, you can see one image in the negative space and another in the positive space. Or, if you look at Noma Bars work, you see an image build up out of images that relate to this theme.

I created 3 icons in black and white and 3 using colour.

2. Baby in pregnant belly which is also the letter B

4. Popsicle giving the finger

4. Cowboy

6. Grain humming birds

I was pretty happy with the results of my work. We had to hand-render all of them, but I uploaded the digital file, cause they look a little better! hehe

This poster about Fast Food Maffia made doing my research for my stupid editorial about Burger King totally worth it! hehe

New Docs

A couple of weeks ago, I bought these totally amazing new Doc Martins shoes and I’v been wearing them ever since. They are the perfect fit (something that’s rare for me) and go with absolutely everything in my wardrobe! It’s a girls dream, i guess, haha!

I am also back at school after a lovely 3 week long break. Already lots of stuff to do and work on, but it feels good. We already have a couple of cool new projects, which I will write about soon.

I want to try to take some daily fashion shots, which I cannot promise will happen. It is something I really wanted to do for a while now, so maybe this time it will actually happen, yay!
